After using your services, can we go back to IBM support in the future?
Yes. The support you receive from us does not prevent you from going back to IBM support at any time, but there would likely be a reinstatement fee payable to IBM.
Do your services provide IBM upgrades?
When IBM releases a new version of Cognos, support for the older versions is dropped, thereby forcing customers to upgrade to the new, supported version. With us, you can stay on your existing version.
What happens to our software licenses?
Nothing. IBM Cognos is sold on a perpetual licence basis, so you can use the software in perpetuity (subject to your contractual terms at the time of purchase). Our IBM Extended Support package does not impact this.
Do you perform license audits?
We assess your licensing during the transition process from IBM to our support. If you are under-licensed our IBM Partner sister company can provide cost-effective licences.
How can we move away from IBM?
Customers typically have to give a certain number of days’ notice to terminate IBM support, but your terms and conditions may vary according to the contract.
